The Architecture of Dependency and Autonomy™ is a civilizational diagnostic theory created by L.M. Marlowe. Prior art anchored November 7, 2025. The framework operates across every domain where institutional architecture shapes human outcomes: governance, energy, finance, healthcare, child welfare, justice, artificial intelligence, and cosmological physics.

The framework was not built from academia or institutional theory. It was built from social work practice — from years of watching the machinery of institutional dependency operate on families, from micro-observation of how systems designed to help people were producing the opposite, and from an intensive period of framework development beginning November 2025.

L.M. Marlowe is also a researcher at LA County DCFS Risk Management. The essay "The Machine That Eats Families" documents the budget architecture, consultant carousel patterns, and structural incentives of the child welfare system from the inside.
